Become a mentor?

What qualifications do I need to become a student mentor?

A student mentor can be a college student in a health care profession. We vet our mentors to ensure that they are successful in their studies and careers. Please fill out the form and we will contact you.

What time commitment is required?

You may choose to offer as little or as much time as you have. You may be selected to serve on guest student panels or volunteer in our hands-on suturing clinics and should be ready to answer questions from mentees. If you want more involvement, we can assign you to a mentee if you choose to do so.

If I am working in the healthcare profession, how do I become a guest speaker?

We would love to have guest speakers or virtual shadowing from a variety of healthcare professions. Please fill out the contact us form and we will get in touch with you.

Am I required to offer one on one tutoring as a mentor?

No, you are not. This is not a tutoring service. Of course, if you would like to offer tutoring services, please indicate that and we can include you in our resources list and that is between you and the student.
